Number of U.S. Retail Clinics Surpasses 800

Take Care Takes Off

As predicted, Take Care Health has kicked into
gear with another burst of clinic openings, rising from
82 to 101 locations as of our last update on November 1.

New Take
Care markets in the last few weeks include
Tucson, Orlando, Miami, Tampa, Cincinnati, Houston,
and Las Vegas. Still to come yet this year:
Nashville and Cleveland.

Many of these markets have small initial footprints

of two to four clinics. We expect to see each of these
markets expand quickly over the coming weeks and months.

MinuteClinic Machine Marches On

MinuteClinic continues its march across the country.

Since November 1 the company has opened more than
50 new locations. A major new market for MinuteClinic
is San Diego, where the company opened 15 locations
in the last two weeks. In California alone, MinuteClinic
went from 17 to 42 locations since November 1.

Some Interesting Markets to Watch

In the coming weeks we will be watching some specific
markets and applying some saturation metrics. Atlanta is a
market where we believe there isn’t much more room for
additional retail clinics. Orlando is one we’ll also be watching,
as Take Care opens more clinics there to compete with
MinuteClinic, The Little Clinic and Solantic.

Take Care also has plans to go into Nashville, where
MinuteClinic and The Little Clinic have already opened.
Another market to watch is Richmond, Va., where MinuteClinic
has opened recently to compete with RediClinic’s nine
Wal-Mart locations.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
